We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. General retention periods are:

Customer purchase and financial records โ€” 5 years (SARS / VAT Act)

Employee records โ€” 6 years after employment ends

CCTV footage โ€” 30 days (unless required for an incident)

Marketing consent records โ€” Duration of relationship + 1 year

General enquiries and correspondence โ€” 2 years

Once the retention period expires, your personal information will be securely deleted or destroyed so that it cannot be recovered.

As a data subject, you have the following rights. We are committed to honouring each of them promptly and without charge.

Request confirmation of whether we hold your personal information and obtain a copy of it.

How to exercise your rights

1) Submit your request in writing to our Information Officer (e-mail or form).

2) We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days.

3) We will respond fully within 30 days. If we need more time, we will notify you and may extend by a further 30 days.

4) We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

5) Your request will be logged and handled confidentially.
